Terms and Conditions

Cancellation Policy. Life gets in the way sometimes and I understand that so please call or text me as soon as you are aware that you cannot make an appointment. This would preferably be with at least 24 hours’ notice. 

If it is less than that I will have to apply a fee. 

Late Policy. This is your time. You are responsible for arriving in adequate time, your appointment will end at the arranged time to ensure no other client is disrupted.  I feel sure you will understand and would expect your session to go ahead as planned if another client attended late. 

Appointments. Are in person or online on a wide range of platforms so please do say which you are most familiar with.  The assessment session (initial consultation) will last 60-90 minutes. 

General sessions will last 1 hour. 

Confidentiality. All information shared with me is confidential, whether it is verbal or written. I take notes of our sessions to ensure that we remain on track to resolving your issue and can demonstrate appropriate working practice if there is an issue that needs to resolved. 

There are areas where I may need to breach that confidentiality and these are clearly defined as being where I consider you or a child/ vulnerable adult or the public at large to be at risk of harm. 

Should this be the case I will discuss this with you. 

Data and GDRP. Please see Data and GDRP policy. I will act in accordance with all legal obligations of data handling and am registered with the Information Commissioners Office  Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

Contra-indications. Some medical conditions are not suited to hypnosis or hypnotherapy and some will require consent from your G.P /Consultant before therapy can begin. 

I will need to refuse treatment if I feel that Hypnotherapy is contraindicated. 

Commitment. Hypnotherapy is an approach that is massively beneficial to many people but a way of increasing its effect is to be truly committed to it and the process. It is a collaborative process. 

I will give you everything I can to help resolve the issue you face, all the skills and knowledge I have learnt, what I need you to do is your part. 

This means complete any tasks that I ask you to do , these will always be suitable for you and any time or financial limitations you may have. We will discuss them fully before you leave so that we can make sure they are right for you. But …. You need to do them. If it helps think of them as a cost saving exercise. The more you participate in the process and apply the techniques the faster you see the results you want, the fewer sessions you need. 

Conduct.  I will be unable to complete our session if you attend intoxicated  under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Verbal or physical aggression directed towards me will not be accepted. 

Payment. Payment is expected by bank transfer 24 hours before the session begins. If this is a problem for you please discuss this with me, in all cases payment will be required before we actually start the session. 

Code of ethics and professional practice.  I hold full professional and public liability insurance. I am a registered member of the National Hypnotherapy Council (NCH)and the General Register for Hypnotherapy (GHR).  I accept follow an apply their Codes Ethics and Professional Practice in Hypnotherapy.
